Whataburger: Partners with Houston Texans to Support The Houston Food Bank
Whataburger strives to make a positive change in local communities

When I think of Whataburger I think of home and family. A big reason for that is Whataburgers involvement with the hispanic community. Whataburger not only creates advertisements and commercials in English but in Spanish as well. This is important to me because not only does it persuade me to go buy a Whataburger meal but it shows how much Whataburger values its Spanish-speaking customers. As a bilingual student I truly enjoy watching and listening to both english and spanish commercials on TV and everywhere else. A few other points that appeal Whataburger to me are their

Staying Relevant on Social Media
Whataburger stays active on most social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, YouTube, TikTok, Indeed and even Twitch. Through all social media channels Whataburger makes sure to engage with all its followers and fans. This is possible by posting current promotions happening at the fast food place and contests. Staying up to date with all the trends and current topics also helps Whataburger stay relevant on social media and fans truly appreciate this.
Social Involvement and Giving Back

Whataburger makes sure to stay involved with its community with the Feeding Student Success program. Under this program Whataburger makes a significant impact by helping out with college resource rooms, scholarship funds, and community support. This program in particular helps graduating high school students take the next steps towards their higher education. Through its community support Whataburger also partners up with its surrounding organizations to help students reach their academic goals.
Supporting the Houston Food Bank
Whataburger is proud to support the Houston Food Bank for its seventh year in a row. This is a partnership with Whataburger and the Houston Texans to bring in donations for the Houston Food Bank.
Customers can participate by attending any Houston Whataburger locations and donating $1 or more to this local organization. This campaign kicked off Sept. 19 and will continue through Oct. 10, 2022. As a thank you, for each time customers donate Whataburger will also be giving out Whataburger coupons.
Whataburger is an example of an overall positive public relations organization. The Public Relations Society of America defines PR as, “a strategic communication process that builds mutually beneficial relationships between organizations and their publics”. Based on all the information written above, Whataburger definitely proves how much it values and listens to its audience and local organizations to make a positive change.
